The Act Writing Sample Essays
The Act Writing Sample Essays The strongest way to end a short essay is to include a brief summary of your main argument and a statement that includes the implications of your thesis on your future. This will depict you as a goal-oriented and forward-thinking person without veering you too far from the main idea of your essay. But, is there an answer to that question of how many words you should write? We know that any essay is better to be not too long and not too short, but here, we will try to find a precise solution. Many things matter when you work on an academic essay. Hence, it is useful for one to take them into consideration while working on a 5-paragraph assignment. Try to limit the amount of sentences dedicated to supporting evidence. If possible, have one sentence rather than two citing a story, anecdote, or example. This may seem difficult, but it is important to provide only the details that are necessary for understanding the main idea of your essay. If you cannot find a way to fit supporting evidence in just one or two sentences, use a different example altogether. There are certain topics that require a lot of room for explanation, so be careful not to choose a topic for your essay that will require too much evidence to support. Or, if there is an argument in focus, you have to look for a reliable piece of evidence for supporting your central message. Use our free and easy online tool for counting characters, words, sentences, paragraphs and pages in real time, along with keyword density and reading level. The answer is around 4 pages single spaced, and 8 pages double spaced. Examples of 2000 word count pages might be longer for blog posts, college essays or term papers, and operating manuals. List three to five topics that you are interested in or would like to write about. If two sentences convey two only slightly differing ideas, try to find a way to combine them. Use semi-colons, em dashes, or compound sentences if necessary. What about the format, citations, structure, and language of your 5-paragraph paper? Here, you should consider each of those elements in the context of the type, purpose, and subject matter of the essay assigned. For instance, the main idea is to convince the reader. Then, you are to apply different means of reasonable and persuasive communication. For example, do you have any sentences that start with, âIt isâ or âIt seems thatâ? These are extraneous words that can be taken out without altering the sentenceâs meaning. Proponents of the five paragraph essay say that the body text should consist of three paragraphs, but in reality, itâs fine to write more or fewer paragraphs in this section. There is no firm rule that says an essay needs to have a set number of paragraphs, but an essay must be a minimum of three paragraphs. We strongly recommend you revise an essay that is shorter than 250 words unless such a length is required by your professor. To lengthen your assignment, reread the writing and each body paragraph of it. Brainstorm ideas for what youâre going to write if the assignment is specifically about one topic. Make a sub-list for each topic that you could write about. Promptâs Essay Specialists reviewed 13,000 admissions essays in 2018, helping thousands of students submit their applications with confidence. Read through your writing and make sure that every sentence has a specific and unique contribution to the essay. It is important to delineate the entirety of your argument at the very beginning of the paragraph. You want your message to be extremely accessible, so make it snappy! Do not wait until the end of the paragraphâ"and definitely not until the end of the essayâ"to present your argument. Most often, it is the last sentence of the introduction. An introduction is typically the first paragraph of your paper. May be, there are some unanswered questions, discussing which will add some words to your text. Sometimes, it is hard to come up with five paragraphs of classical structure within such a short format. The absolute minimum size for a five-paragraph essay is 250 words or one double-spaced page, typed in standard 12 points font.

For example, you might describe your car as your home away from home, full of snack foods, changes of clothing, old issues of the Chico News & Review, textbooks, and your favorite music. Or, you might describe your car as an immaculate, beautiful, pampered woman on whom you lavish attention and money. Just don't describe your car in cold, clinical detail, front to back without having in mind the purpose, the overall impression you want to create. To achieve this impression, you should not necessarily include all details; use only those that suit your purpose. Is there an important overall impression you wish to convey? This is your thesis; organize your essay around it. Thank you very much for taking on such complex tasks. If it were simple, I would not search for an online writer to do it. Promote Academic Integrity
Promote Academic Integrity This method of coming up with an essay title isnât about pinpointing a question that you want answered because itâs never before been asked. The best way to come up with an idea for an essay is to consider what the question is that you would like to see answered. All of the stages in this process â" picking a question, picking a focus and, finally, picking a title â" can be daunting when you havenât done them before. In this article, we look at how to come up with essay titles that work for you. Using storytelling in educational settings can enable educators to connect with their students because of inborn tendencies for humans to listen to stories. Academic paragraphs are usually between 200 and 300 words long . The important thing is that they should be long enough to contain all the above material. When you donât have a question written for you, you have to figure out whatâs notable or whatâs strange on your own, and thatâs why context is so useful. Instead, itâs about coming up with an essay title that suits your concerns, your interests and your personal reaction to whatever it is that youâre studying. Only move onto a new paragraph if you are making a new point. These are the parts of your paragraphs that will get you the higher marks in any marking scheme. Explanation of why the point is important and how it helps with your overall argument. Although basic questions like âwhat is the thesis? â are important to demonstrate your understanding, you need to interrogate your own assumptions and knowledge to deepen your analysis and focus your assessment of the text. My observations from the classroom demonstrate that the hierarchical structure of Bloomâs Taxonomy is problematic, a concept also explored by Paul . Your third idea â" hopefully â" will come from your own ideas, even if you havenât quite got a handle on what those ideas are yet. When thinking of an essay idea, you may not have the âEureka! That is probably a good thing â" a more considered, developed, original idea will probably make for a better essay. When you have a question set for you, your teacher is already drawing your attention to what is notable about the topic. They will ask why Hamlet is indecisive, or why Henry VIII decided to break with Rome â" the things that, with greater study of the context, naturally strike people as strange. Different fonts and different font sizes will affect the number of pages you write. This is one reason why a teacher may give an assignment length in words instead of pages - page length can be faked by changing the margins and fonts. a general field of considerations from which arguments can be drawn. Alan Corenâs description of the advantages of the âthird ideaâ strategy focuses on originality, but thatâs not its only advantage. Coming up with an idea thatâs yours alone means coming up with an idea that will be right and suited to your thoughts and skills. Your first and second ideas will be based heavily in what youâve been taught, which is a good base to work from but that might not reflect your interests entirely. The students often combined activities like application and synthesis or analysis and evaluation to build their knowledge and comprehension of unfamiliar concepts. This challenges my understanding of traditional teaching methods where knowledge is the basis for inquiry. Perhaps higher-order learning strategies like inquiry and evaluation can also be the basis for knowledge and comprehension, which are classified as lower-order skills in Bloomâs Taxonomy. For reflective writing, it is important to balance reporting or descriptive writing with critical reflection and analysis. This results in a disorganized, incoherent text which the reader will find difficult to comprehend. Donât try to cram all your experiences into one essay; choose the most important and significant moments. A time when you were disappointed or discouraged by something someone said. Not only the direction of the light is reversed, but the actual wavefronts are reversed as well. A conjugate reflector can be used to remove aberrations from a beam by reflecting it and then passing the reflection through the aberrating optics a second time. If one were to look into a complex conjugating mirror, it would be black because only the photons which left the pupil would reach the pupil. Critical reflection requires thoughtful and persistent inquiry.
How To Write A 3,000 Word Essay In A Day
How To Write A 3,000 Word Essay In A Day I think it depends a lot on your personality, but forcing myself to be consistent day in and day out helps me get my books done. Without a daily word count, I would never complete them. Can someone explain to me why so many people are obsessed with word count and page count? These words may not be perfect and will likely need to be heavily edited, but it gets the ideas down and keeps them from getting stuck on one area of their book. Itâs a way to motivate them to get the book done. It works well for me, but I know others who donât do well with it. I have over 100 English writing essays here on Owlcation. If you're having difficulty deciding what to write about, try brainstorming around the topic. Write down all the ideas that come to mind and you'll see a theme start to emerge. We wouldn't recommend writing an essay in such a short period of time, but the good news is that 3,000 words in a day is totally doable. For example, if the assignment says the writing should be in 10-point font, itâs going to take a greater number of words to fill a page than if the assignment requires a 12-point font. There are instances when youâre given an assignment, not by word count, but assigned by the number of pages. â If you need to figure out words per page, you can use a words per page calculator. I donât understand why Iâm being punished for being honest. Many authors use word count as a motivational tool. To help them from getting stuck and editing each sentence over and over again as they write, they choose a minimum number of words they want to write each day. If youâre a writer, shouldnât writing well be the most important thing? Why do writers seem to obsess over word count and page count? You can look at my profile for some of them or search by my name. Thank you, I didnât know of this website even was around for someone to use to learn how to write anything. Iâm starting to write essays for school and journals. If you can't think of any objections, then ask other people for help. Have them read your paper, or just tell them your ideas and ask them what sorts of arguments they think people might have against what you are saying. Is this really something thatâs worth complaining about? The important issue is to write the best essay you can, not the length of words. If youâre focus in only on the words and not what youâve written, your writing is never going to be good. Focus on whatâs important, not on things like this. The truth is there is no definitive answer to this question.

One Of The Major Themes - Free Essay Example
One of the major themes of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is Chivalry, this can be seen many, many times throughout Sir Gawain and the Green Knight. King Arthurs court is built around a chivalrous code where bravery and courtesy are incredibly important to ones entire character, while cowardliness is viewed as the lowest thing. The green knights challenge is not just a challenging him alone it is also challenging Arthurs entire court and its code of chivalry. Gawain after accepting the Green Knights game from the Green Knight has to go out and find the Green Knight somewhere out in Britain although he is never given a location. While out on his quest for the Green Chaple where he is to meet his fate he has to pass through many challenges that test the chivalry of Gawain and the Knights of the round table. However, Gawain shows that the Knights do not perfectly follow their code of chivalry as he breaks it multiple times during his quest for the Green Chaple. He fails when he does not comply with the rules of the game with Sir Bircilak and hides the green girdle for his fear of death. Its revealed through Gawains tests on his quest that the rules of chivalry are impossible, no man could fully comply with these words no matter how perfect the knight. One instance of them being impossible is when Gawain hide the green girdle from Bircilak out of fear for his life, but no man can truly overcome this fear. Once arriving at the Green Chaple Gawain expects to meet his end at the hands of the Green Knight but is rather left with only a mere nick on the neck to forever remind the Court that the Knights too are not perfect and they all even adopt a green sash in order to remember the lesson Gawain had learned out on his quest. Therefore Chivalry is one of the main themes of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight as it makes its appearance again and again throughout the poem. Another theme of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight is the theme of reputation, it appears multiple times throughout the poem, at the beginning Gawain takes the place of King Arthur and offers his life for him. This completely changes the others view of him, he is now seen by them as a brave and a true knight which he was not before. This also goes to show how much the characters in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight care for there reputation, Gawain was willing to give his life in order to show himself as a true knight to the others. But because he presented himself this way this makes him unable to show his true colors, he would not tell the other knights he was in fear of losing his left and in fact did not want to die, going against the code. He attempts to be like Camelot and to do that he has to hide his real self or else be discovered. Arthurs court is a hierarchy in which fame and reputation are the cornerstones, the more you have of these two things that more respected and valued you are in his court. When Gawain goes to finally face the Green Knight the nick on the neck and the green sash also shows his imperfections in his reputation as well. The final theme I identified in Sir Gawain and the Green Knight was the theme of Christianity. This theme is also scattered throughout the poem one of the most immediate instances of it was the chivalric code King Arthurs court follows is found in Christianity. When Gawain goes to meet the Green Knight he does not meet him at abuilding, or castle, or anything of the sort but rather a chapel, the chapel is in relation to Christianity. In the Christian faith, people are supposed to go in occasionally for confession and confess there sins to the priest in order to ask the Lord for forgiveness, Gawain meeting the Green Knight is like a confession, he is paying for all his sins like concealing the green girdle from the lord. A final example of this would be when Gawain is in the forest lost and running out of time to find the chapel so he prays to God and asks for help to find the place.

Coming of Age Speech Essays
Coming of Age Speech Essays Coming of Age Speech Paper Coming of Age Speech Paper When you were a child, have you ever burnt yourself by touching fire? If so, your parents may have warned you, but you hurt yourself anyway out of curiosity. After that experience, would you ever repeat yourself and touch it again? Of course not! Due to this pain you experienced, youââ¬â¢ll unlikely do it again. Similarly, ââ¬Ëwe mature and learn through our experiences and challenges through coming of age. ââ¬â¢ The transition to adulthood isnââ¬â¢t simply just door that you walk through when you reach a stage of adulthood. Itââ¬â¢s like a stairway that you climb, step-by-step, throughout adolescence. To better understand this concept, the novel ââ¬ËAnne of Green Gableââ¬â¢ by Montgomery is a clear depiction of coming of age. The text is written in form of third-person omniscient, where the point of view shifts to reveal the different perspectives and experiences of Anne and Marilla by representing a child and an adult view. This technique also allows the audience to observe the process Anneââ¬â¢s identity being forged. The persona ââ¬ËAnne Shirleyââ¬â¢s experiences various challenges of coming of age but the ones of importance are: 1. Misunderstanding 2. Use of Hurtful words 3. Death of loved ones The idea of ââ¬Ëmisunderstandingââ¬â¢ is presented through the idiom ââ¬Å"For pityââ¬â¢s sake hold your tongue. â⬠which Marilla said to Anne simply telling her to be quiet allowing the audience to identify the talkativeness of Anne identifying the misunderstanding of her actions. This is further reinforced by the quote Anne said to Matthew: ââ¬Å"Itââ¬â¢s so easy to be wicked without knowing itâ⬠, which juxtaposes with Anneââ¬â¢s experiences of maturity with Marilla. Misunderstandings are also incidents in which individuals are able to learn about the consequences of their actions. Such a scenario is when Anne is accused of stealing Marillaââ¬â¢s brooch. However, inexperienced Anneââ¬â¢s reaction was to ââ¬Ëlieââ¬â¢ that she has stolen it. Marilla therefore is able to teach Anne a lesson about misunderstanding and the issue of accepting blame. This experience later helps Anne to maintain her friendship between Diana and resolving the misunderstanding she had with her mother, in which sheââ¬â¢s able to understand the others as well. The value of forgiveness, within maturity is learnt by Anne when her neighbour, Mrs Rachel uses the simile ââ¬Å"hair as red as carrotâ⬠reinforced by descriptive language ââ¬Å"terrible skinny, omely, frecklesâ⬠defining Anneââ¬â¢s appearances, putting Anne in an emotional state. Immaturely Anne reacts by insulting Mrs Rachel and later refuses to apologise until her conversation with Matthew, Marillaââ¬â¢s brother. Where she learns the value of being humble and how insults with Hurtful words can ruin relationships. She also continues to mature by apologizing to Mrs Rachael. Anneââ¬â¢s biggest challenge was this event of Matthewââ¬â¢s death, where she experienced loss as an orphan when her parents passed away as well as other people who adopted her. Anne shows maturity during this ordeal by worrying and taking care of Marilla even through her own state of despair. In which sheââ¬â¢s able to establish the value of responsibility. Like the pieces of a puzzle where theyââ¬â¢re put together to form a picture, it represents the inner-qualities that Anne gains from every experiences. Allow Anne to establish a sense of identity and adulthood. Therefore our identities are formed by the experiences and challenges that we face throughout our lives and are built upon the values we gain from every trial.

Role of Moses in Judaism Research Paper Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 2250 words
Role of Moses in Judaism - Research Paper Example Still the Israelites, operating under the blessings of God, grew in numbers and stronger (Wheless, 19). This forced the Egyptians to introduce tighter controls against the Israelites by killing their children. It is during this time that Moses is born. This was as a result of the Israelite prayers to God, to deliver them from the Egyptian bondage. To protect Moses from death, her mother places him in a casket and it flows along the River Nile, and through Gods intervention, the Casket flows into the hands of Pharaohs daughter who adopts him as her son and therefore raised as an Egyptian prince. Moses grew up in the palace but he did not identify himself with the Egyptians. As a grown up man, Moses was not happy at the way in which his people were being treated, and he at one time killed an Egyptian for beating up an Israelite, thereby drawing the wrath of Pharaoh and fleeing to Midian and in this land, Moses met Zipporah, and married her. Zipporah was a daughter of Jethro, the priest of Median. Moses worked for him, for forty years as a shepherd, and it is while tending after the flock, that he got a visitation from God, requiring him to go back to Egypt, and to Pharaoh in particular, demanding the release of the Israelites from bondage. Moses obeyed the call from God and went back to Egypt demanding the freedom of the Israelites. Pharaoh, at first refused to grant him his wish, and through Moses, God struck Egypt with ten plagues, and it is the tenth plague that forced Pharaoh to release the Israelites. This plague was known as the plague of the first born where an angel of God, called The Angel of Death, killed all the first born male children of the Egyptians, including Pharaohs child. The first born of Israelites were saved by marking their door posts with the blood of a lamb. They had to eat the slain lamb, with bitter herbs, symbolizing their painful stay in Egypt as slaves. This was known as the Passover (Storr, 85).On leaving Egypt, Pharaoh changed his mind, and ordered his army to pursue the Israelites, and they were cornered at the Red Sea. God miraculously caused the Red sea to open and the Israelites passed over it. When the Egyptians attempted, God made the Red Sea to swallow them and therefore destroying the Egyptian army. This paper is an analysis of the Role of Moses in Judaism. It highlights, in detail, why Moses is regarded as an important Jewish prophet and teacher of Godââ¬â¢s word. The paper analyses the first five books of the bible that are credited to Moses, namely Genesis, Exodus, Deuteronomy, Numbers and Leviticus. The paper highlights how Mosaic laws shaped the thinking of the Jews and their historical celebrations. It also highlights his role as a savior, taking them away from Egypt, into the Promised Land. There is also the mention of the Ten Commandments which forms the basis of the Jewish laws and traditions and the aspect of religion in him being the first person in the bible to introduce the Israelites into the knowledge of their God, Jehovah. This paper mentions the various wars that Moses led the children of Israel into during their exodus, and through faith, how they won this wars. This paper has a conclusion, which talks of other Prophets of Israel whom the Jews regard as important in their Judaist practices. Approximately, a thousand years after the death of Abraham, his descendants lived in
